Edward Ficklin will be the second member of the South Oxford Six to take part in New Dramatists' Composer-Librettist Studio. The Studio, presented in cooperation with Nautilus Music-Theater, is designed to provide an opportunity for five writers and five composers to work with professional performers, exploring the possibilities and basic elements of music-theater. The studio focuses on the process of collaboration through a series of brief exploratory assignments for the writers and composers.  Fellow SO6er Aleksandra Vrebalov also participated in the Studio in 2004.

Members of the South Oxford Six will have new string quartets performed by the Momenta String Quartet at the Brooklyn Conservatory on May 17, 2008.
